History of the College
Russell International Group of School which is presently located at its permanent site at No. 13 Old Benin Agbor Road,Benin City was founded in September 1994 at No.37 Benin Agbor Road, Benin City. It was later moved to No. 121 B.D.P.A housing estate Ikpoba Hill by Unipetrol filling station.
It presently has two other branches at No 14, street 19, E.D.P.A, Ugbowo and No. 12, Lucky Igbinedion way, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, all in their permanent sites. Mrs. Y.F. Aigbogun (B.Ed) was appointed as the first Principal of the school. Similarly, a management board was constituted with Mr. S.E. Ibeh as the Chairman, the 1st PTA executive was selected with Mr. Nakpodia as Chairman.
The college which is a co-educational institution had an initial enrolment of 25 students. Within the first academic year, the college's population rose to 125 students. At present, the college has well over 1500 students. The college which started with Eight (8) teachers and five (5) non teaching staff, has at present, 3 principals, 6 Vice principals, about 75 teaching staff and 20 Non-teaching staff.
